About Mario Montez Mitchell

Mario Montez Mitchell is a Nashville-born entrepreneur and community advocate dedicated to leadership, service, and uplifting those around him. Raised in North Nashville, Mario’s journey began in the Metro Nashville Public School System, where he attended the Martha O’Bryan Center, Wharton Elementary, Harpeth Valley Elementary, Head Middle School, West End Middle School, Ewing Park, and ultimately Whites Creek Comprehensive High School.

Mario continued his education by earning an associate degree in Small Business Management, followed by a Bachelor of Business Administration from Tennessee State University. He later pursued MBA coursework at Cumberland University, strengthening his foundation in business development and organizational leadership.

Today, Mario is the owner of New Horizons Inc. formerly known as Coleman Enterprise, a multi-division company specializing in trucking, property management, and automotive services. He is also the founder of Mario Mitchell Production, a full-service event management and logistics firm known for delivering high-quality events, artist booking, fundraising initiatives, and political campaign management for both Democratic and Republican candidates.

Beyond his business ventures, Mario is committed to service and community impact. He is a proud member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated, where he upholds the four cardinal principles of Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance, and Uplift. He is also an active member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, contributing to the Christians Involved in Action (CIA) ministry.

Mario has a deep passion for youth mentorship and development. As a former head coach for the Napier Little League baseball team—serving children from the J.C. Napier community—he provided structure, encouragement, and positive guidance to inner-city youth. He also remains actively involved in prison reform efforts focused on rehabilitation, opportunity, and successful reintegration.

A devoted father of three, Mario is driven by family, faith, and the belief that leadership begins with service. His life’s work reflects a commitment to empowering others, building community, and creating meaningful, lasting impact.
